Our roof inspections are comprehensive examinations of the condition of a roof. The goal of a roof inspection is to identify any current or potential issues with the roof, such as leaks, damage, or wear and tear, and to provide recommendations for repairs or replacement if needed. Here are some of the tasks our roof inspectors may perform during an inspection:
- Visually inspect the roof: Plan B Plumbing will visually examine the roof from the ground, if possible, and from the roof itself if safe to do so, to identify any visible signs of damage, such as missing or broken shingles, cracked or curled tiles, and leaks.
- Check for proper flashing and sealing: Plan B Plumbing will check the flashing and sealing around skylights, vents, chimneys, and other penetrations to ensure that they are properly sealed and in good condition.
- Check for proper ventilation: Plan B Plumbing will check the attic and roof ventilation to ensure that there is adequate airflow and to identify any potential ventilation problems that could lead to moisture or mold issues.
- Check the condition of the gutters and downspouts: Plan B Plumbing will check the gutters and downspouts to ensure that they are clear of debris and properly attached to the house.
- Check the condition of the decking: Plan B Plumbing will check the condition of the decking and the structural integrity of the roof to identify any potential issues that could lead to leaks or damage.
- Check the condition of the drainage system: Plan B Plumbing will check the drainage system to ensure that water is flowing properly and that there are no blockages or other issues that could lead to leaks or water damage.

Our state of the art drones makes roof inspections for properties above three stories or with a steep pitch easier, safer, faster and less costly. The drone can access almost any part of the building, and collect useful information using high-quality image and video.
The drone can provide an aerial view of the roof and its surrounding areas, allowing our inspector to identify and diagnose issues that might be difficult to spot from the ground or from a ladder. Drone roof inspections are a non-invasive and safe way of conducting roof inspections and can provide a detailed view of the roof condition.
During the inspection, the drone is flown over the roof while the operator controls the drone and the camera. The camera captures high-resolution images and videos of the roof, which are then analyzed by the inspector to identify any issues such as missing or damaged tiles, leaks, and other problems. Our inspector can also use the drone to inspect hard-to-reach areas of the roof, such as steep or high-pitched roofs, without the need for scaffolding or ladders.
Drone roof inspections are also useful for inspecting large commercial or industrial buildings, where it can be difficult and time-consuming to inspect the roof manually. Additionally, drone roof inspections can be performed in a fraction of the time it would take to manually inspect a roof, and it can be done safely and efficiently.
